Welcome to the RingCentral for Developers platform

In order to get started using the RingCentral for Developers platform please follow the following steps:


  1. First access our Developer Portal and read our documentation and tutorials after logging in with your corporate RingCentral account which has been enabled for you.
  2. Familiarize yourself on how to use test accounts in the RingCentral
    Sandbox through this tutorial including setting up your desktop phone to
    do testing. Also learn how to get started with OAuth 2.0 (see also How to Use Test Accounts in the RingCentral Sandbox, here.
  3. After you have digested our documentation, applicable JavaScript SDK, and various tutorials, please start developing your app on the RingCentral sandbox. You can request a sandbox on the developer portal under My Account, Sandbox Accounts. An email will be sent to your email address on record found in the My Account, Profile section.
  4. Should you require any technical assistance please visit the Support page where you can read FAQs and create a case. When doing so please select either Developer Platform or RingCentral APIs as a product area which will ensure you receive prompt response within 2 business days
  5. When you are finished and satisfied with your integration, you can request to move to production. Our team will respond within one business week, and you will be issued production keys.

Developer sandbox tools

Using the RingCentral Phone for Desktop, you can dial or receive test calls, send and receive test SMS or Fax messages in your sandbox environment.

Download RingCentral Phone for Desktop:

Tip: switch to the "sandbox mode" before logging in the app:

  • On MacOS: press "fn + command + f2" keys
  • On Windows: press "Ctrl + F2" keys
