need call transfer to allow caller/transferee to stay on call

Is there a way to have the caller, transferee and call transferring to all be connected on the call and when transferee has finished can hang up and call still be active?

Hi Cara, my previous instruction was incorrect and it was for warm transfer. Here is how it works with the RingCentral soft-phone. Should be similar with the RC app as well.

During a first call, click the "+" button to make a new call to the transferee, then you will see the call icon with 2 active calls.screen-shot-2021-09-30-at-94016-am.png


Click on the call icon (circled in red above) you will see 2 active calls

Now click on the "+" (circled in red) button to create a conference call

Are you looking for a solution to do that using RingCentral apps or using the platform API?

Using the app, while on a call, you can click the Add (+) button, which allows you to make a new call to a new party, then you can merge the call so 3 parties can be on the same call.

If you want to do this using API, you can use the bridge call party API to merge the calls, provided that, you have got the calls' session Ids and party Ids properly.

if i hangup after the caller and party transferred to are connected, the call disconnects. we need to stay on the line for the call but after all information is given to transferred party hang up to receive other calls
