How to check sms delivery status

I am new to ringcentral, so my question may sound silly.

I am exploring various apis offered with ringcentral for messaging. With the create sms api I am able to send sms. But what I was looking is to get a message delivery status that can confirm the delivery of sms.

We will later use this apis in our java web application and will return a delivery status to clients who uses our web portal to send sms

There are few ways you can do that. There is a messageStatus in the API return:

Queued, Sent, Delivered, DeliveryFailed, SendingFailed, Received

"Sent" -- reached SMS provider/carrier, "Delivered" -- reached the recipient.
