is it possible to send SMS to sandbox phone number from real mobile?

I want to test SMS both way and trying to reply back to the sandbox number i have received SMS from

Sending a SMS from a real mobile number to a SMS sandbox number works.

Yes I think it is possible. Sandbox number is able to receive SMS.
