Setup Sandbox data: Call Logs, etc.

Hello. I just created Sandbox account. And at the current moment the Call Log is empty.

Also I'm unable to call myself, please check this screenshot https://www.screencast.com/t/CoE0te2fs

I'm new to RingCentral and don't know if I need something else to setup.

I will need to implement next idea: the customer gets a lot of calls and some calls a missed. In this case I will need send SMS with some text to the callers. So to implement this idea I need some test items in my Call Log...

The fastest way to create data in your account which you know is expected in your API requests is to:

1. Download the RingCentral Desktop Soft Phone Application ( https://www.ringcentral.com/office/features/desktop-apps/overview.html)
2. Configure the Environment (installed Desktop Soft Phone) to operate with the Sandbox API ( https://developers.ringcentral.com/library/getting-started.html)
3. Create a new application ( https://developers.ringcentral.com/library/getting-started.html)
4. Login to the Desktop Soft Phone using your RingCentral Sandbox user credentials
5. Use the Desktop Soft Phone to make some phone calls to your mobile phone number (or office desk phone), send and receive some SMS messages also.

Then you should be able to execute API requests to the Call Log and Message Store API resources and see the data created from the above activity.

Hello Benjamin,
I followed those steps you provided above, but I get a Cannot initiate a ring out message.  Am I suppose to add users to the sandbox?  When I try it will not let me chose a zip code.
Thanks,
Keith.
