SMS API messages not recognized as legit SMS?

Hi,

We use SMS API to send SMS commands to our remote GSM device, and we've ran into an interesting problem: the SMS's are sent and delivered to the remote device, but it ignores the messages. If we send same SMS from a real cell phone - the SMS command is accepted by device, but not when it is sent via RingCentral API. We've tried Rogers and Chatr SIM cards on remote device with the same result: SMS only accepted when they are sent from a cell phone and ignored when they are sent from RingCentral API. The texts look exactly the same! So what's the difference?

Thanks

PS: The message contains stars and hashes (*#) i.e.: *1234567*01*45#

Since this is a special case, could you please submit a help ticket to contact the back-end support team and can ask for the internal technical details and the reason behind it.

As you said the text from SMS API looks exactly the same, you can connect with the support team to investigate the issues it's having with the remote GSM device.
