Ability to put in speed dial contacts on the physical phone

We would like for a user to be able to go to their phone in the web interface and add their speed dials for their physical phones.

Thanks

What type of phone?  There may be different ways to accomplish this depending on the type of phone and if it was purchased from RC or not.

They were purchased from Ring Central. They are Polycom 410's and 310's.

I use a VVX410 and program speed dials on my unused buttons by just holding the button down and then putting in the phone number and name.  I know this is not through the web interface as you described, but maybe works for you?

The only other way that comes to mind would be a bit wonky, but it is possible to create free, virtual extensions as an admin and then forward to phone numbers.  So, you might have 301 go to 415-555-1212 and then users could navigate to their web portal and in the presence settings put 301 on a button on their phone.

All of our phones automatically pop up with the users name in all speed dial places. When I try what you suggested (hold down the button) nothing happens. I would still like it in the web browser but getting it to work on the phone would be fine for the time being. Thanks

Yes, this is an odd behaviour with the phones by default that you just reminded me of.  What you can do is first configure at least one button as an appearance of some user via presence settings in the web portal or HUD settings via the desktop app.  Then the rest of the lines will be blank and allow you to program as I described.
