API for changing a phone number

API for changing a RingCentral phone number.

Hello, is there an API available for PHP for changing the phone number on an account?  Normally a person would need to go into the admin portal to change a phone number, but I am looking for some documentation, if possible, on how to change a phone number with an API call.

Here is where it would manually be done:   https://service.ringcentral.com/company/index.html?postPhoneLogin=true#/phones/15525252020/details

Thanks!

We currently have a beta Update Device API, however, it only supports updating the Emergency Service Address property.

We will take this as a feature request.

For your use case, do you want to update to existing phone numbers in your account or purchase new phone numbers to assign?

Hello. That would be great if you can implement updating the existing phone number on the account with just a single API call. Please keep me informed if you can implement it or not and if you would accept some financial reward for implementing it soon. Thanks! Tom

John Wang, sorry, I thought you were a 3rd party developer.  I didn't mean to come off sounding like I was offering you a bribe!!  I just realized you are not a 3rd party developer, so my intentions regarding the money could be misunderstood by other readers of this thread.

Thanks for your understanding.

No worries, I've been offered contract programming too!

I head up PM for our APIs so taking requirements is right up my alley!

No need for money, but we do like Tweets, Github stars, blog articles and the like ;)

Yes, for sure, I can accommodate that!  Do you have any ready-to-go blog articles I can publish to my blog site?  If not I have writers that can accomplish it.    I have given you about 50 stars GitHub, about 10 YouTube thumbs up and about 10 YouTube comments.  :-)

You aren't on Yelp for a review?

I will do some tweets shortly.  Whatever I can do for you so that you can put my request at the top of the pile, just let me know.

Thanks!

Ok, I guess this was all a trick to get me to "star" your Github repo's.  I guess I will just go back and 'unlike' them all then.

We have discussed this with our team and we're working on an estimate now. Once we have that, we'll be able to provide some more information so stay positive!
