Device id in softphone

Using Softphone for desktop, can we get the device id in ringcentral api?

Using softphone we can make calls, sms but not sure why we don't get the device id

Were you able to get an answer for this please? We have the same problem.

Not sure if you will get device id with softphone, because it may not register the device.
