Here is what you have to do in order to set up your RingCentral Sandbox

Welcome to RingCentral for Developers! You can integrate with our platform within a very short time and see your app working with RingCentral. But first let's get you acquainted with setting up your own test environment.


You have to initially login to the RingCentral Developer portal and create your sandbox account then a step-by-step tutorial is available for you to guide you through setting up your

test accounts.


It covers:

  • Creating and configuring a sandbox test account
  • Running API requests on sandbox
  • Configuring your RingCentral for Desktop Application
  • Migrating your application from sandbox to production

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 1.0 MiB each and 10.0 MiB total.

Developer sandbox tools

Using the RingCentral Phone for Desktop, you can dial or receive test calls, send and receive test SMS or Fax messages in your sandbox environment.

Download RingCentral Phone for Desktop:

Tip: switch to the "sandbox mode" before logging in the app:

  • On MacOS: press "fn + command + f2" keys
  • On Windows: press "Ctrl + F2" keys
